The library of the Max-Planck-Institute for Physics specializes in particle physics, cosmology, field and string theory and mathematical physics. Furthermore, selected books on topics in pure and applied mathematics complete the portfolio. The stock holds about 46.000 monographs, adding about 350 books per year. In addition, a collection of textbooks in triplicate for students is installed. Finally, newspapers and magazines of general interest are available in the reading room.
