We invite applications for a postdoctoral position for ATLAS data analysis. A PhD in particle physics and experience with the data analysis in high energy physics experiments is required. We have analysis groups performing measurements of Higgs boson properties, searches for supersymmetric and Dark Matter particles and searches for new heavy resonances. The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in one of those fields and to supervise the group of students working on the subject. There will also be opportunities to participate in our extensive detector development and upgrade program for the ATLAS muon spectrometer and in the teaching at the university. We welcome frequent stays at CERN.
Salary and benefits are according to the German public service pay scale (TVöD Bund). The contract is initially limited to three years and can be extended in accordance with German law. The Max Planck Society is committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals.
