New apprentices at the Max Planck Institute for Physics

At the beginning of September five young people began their professional training at the Max Planck Institute for Physics (MPP). Three of them – Franziska Kienitz, Jannis Haas und Felix Butz – have embarked on a training as electronic technicians for for devices and systems. Thomas Brunner und Ludwig Weingartner will be trained as industrial mechanics.

Up to the current day, about 100 young people went through professional training at the MPP – a very successful model, as Engelbert Modjesch, who leads the training division, states: “With their training finished, many of our apprentices receive contracts at our institute right away. And even those we cannot employ have excellent opportunities to find jobs in other research institutions or in industry.” Besides, many of them, in particular electronic technicians, proceed with advanced education.
