Apprenticeship as an electronics technician for devices and systems

The MPI for Physics offers in-depth training with excellent individual support on state-of-the-art machines and technologies. As a fully qualified electronics technician, you will have valuable specialist knowledge and technical skills that are in high demand and indispensable in industry.

Learning content:

At the beginning of the apprenticeship, our trainees receive basic electronics training in which they will learn the theoretical basics and fundamental skills such as soldering, measuring and building circuits. During the two-week basic mechanics training programme, you will also learn how to drill, turn and mill. Further learning content of the training programme includes 

  • Power eletronics
  • Microcomputer technology; processor control
  • Programmable logic controller (LOGO!)
  • specialised PC applications for CAD, simulations and circuit board layout
  • Control and regulation technology, automation technology

Our trainees can contribute to our experiments according to their level of training.

Start of training: 1 September
Duration of training: 3.5 years (early examination possible after 3 years if performance is good)
