Postdoc Application in the MPP Theory Department

The Theory Groups of Georgi Dvali, Dieter Lüst, and Giulia Zanderighi at the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich plan to make appointments at the postdoctoral level starting in Fall 2021.

These groups include staff members and group leaders Lasha Berezhiani, Ralph Blumenhagen, Thomas Hahn, Ulrich Haisch, Georg Raffelt, Frank Steffen, Stephan Stieberger, and Marius Wiesemann.

The interests of the group include a wide range of topics in theoretical and phenomenological particle physics relevant for the LHC and future colliders, physics beyond the Standard Model, effective field theories, string theory, astro-particle physics and cosmology, gravitational theories, and mathematical and non-perturbative aspects of field theory.

The Max Planck Society strives for gender equality and diversity. The Max Planck Society is committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals. Furthermore, the Max Planck Society seeks to increase the number of women in those areas where they are underrepresented and therefore explicitly encourages women to apply.

Applications must be uploaded from this page and should include a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests, and names and e-mail addresses of three referees that will provide letters of reference.

The referees will receive personalized links for uploading the recommendation letters (no registration required). Be sure to provide correct e-mail addresses as bounces may not be detected immediately and will delay the application.

Applicants interested in a position in the field of string theory and related subjects are also kindly asked to apply at the European on-line postdoc application platform at Leuven University (the latter is not mandatory for consideration at our institute).

The application period starts now.
Priority will be given to applications received before December 6, 2020.
