General Info

Munich (founded 1158) is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and Germany's third largest city. It is located in south-eastern Germany on the river Isar, north of the Alps and near the border to Austria. Information about sightseeing destinations in Munich can be found at www.munich.de.


The Conference Location

The conference is being held at the Holiday Inn City Center Munich hotel and the neighboring Gasteig conference center. The Gasteig is a center for cultural events in Munich, hosting music performances, art exhibitions, conferences and fairs. The conference dinner will be held at the Deutsches Museum, the world's largest museum of technology and science. The Deutsches Museum is located on its own island in the Isar river a 5 minute walk from the Holiday Inn.
