The Max Planck Institute for Physics condemns Russia's attack on Ukraine and the increasing violence against the population of this country. Our sympathy and solidarity goes out to all those who are holding out in the cities; to the many who have to flee to safety.
In our scientific groups, people of all nations work together peacefully - united in the goal of unraveling the mysteries of the universe. There is no place for war in our world. There is no justification for this war. We therefore call on the Russian government to immediately cease its belligerent actions in Ukraine.
