The library of the Max-Planck-Institute for Physics specializes in particle physics, cosmology, field and string theory and mathematical physics. Selected books on topics in pure and applied mathematics complete the portfolio.
The library holds offers 46,000 monographs, with about 350 books per year being added. Furthermore a collection of textbooks is available for students, with triple copies respectively. Newspapers and magazines of general interest are available in the reading room.
The library is constantly updating and completing its portfolio. Suggestions for new aquisitions are welcome and can be directed to the library.
