The International Office supports the visiting scientists at the Institute in a variety of ways. We help you to quickly acclimatize to Munich and to feel at home in our city. We can advise you on administrative matters, accompany you on visits to public authorities and help you find somewhere to live. This allows you to concentrate fully on your scientific work.

The Max Planck Institute for Physics operates a guest house on its site – only a few steps away from the main building. Eight single rooms and one apartment for a maximum of 4 people with its own kitchen are available to our guests.
The guest rooms are in great demand. We would therefore ask you to reserve them as soon as possible.
Guests can obtain their room key 24/7 at the reception at the main entrance of the Institute. Guests are requested to vacate their room by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. in the cafeteria across the way. A variety of stores are available within walking distance for those wanting to provide for themselves.
